Help me understand, what’s going on with fertilizer? It’s going to drive up the price of groceries, right? I don’t always believe what the news is telling me. I’m hoping some farmers will chime in.
thank you

Farmers in general do not have a lot of say as to how much they sell their product for. They can look at the price they are offered and decide to sell or not

The locals around me pretty much say the cost of fuel is what's doing the damage. They can cut back on fertilizer and hope the crops still do OK. But they can't cut back on diesel to cultivate the crops.
Bountyhunter is spot on though. Take the price or keep the harvest. However, if enough say no to the price, it will change. It's a delicate balance. And a risk.
