I am new to the Forum, so I am not sure if I am in the right place, but could use some advice for the maintenance I have decided to do on my F3680. I have a problem with one of the bevel gear cases and am in the process of getting it off. My first issue (I am sure there will be many more to follow) is that I have removed the nuts from the tie bar and the tie bar will not come off. I do not want to just pound on it until it gives, that will destroy the nuts. Any one have any suggestions on how to get the tie bar to come off?

Go to an automotive store and rent a pickling fork.
It will pop the joint right apart. ;)
