I have a F2560, 790 hrs, good shape. Have owned it 11 yrs. New UDT2 hydro fluid, filters. I have never had a problem until I started driving about 1 3/4 miles in high gear to mow my daughters lawn. After about a mile, it will shove some hydro fluid out the breather, not a lot, just enough to make a mess. No matter how hard you work it, or how hot, it won't do it any other time. Gear splash? Foaming? It also did it when I had regular non Kubota fluid in it, so I changed to the UDT2 to try and eliminate the problem. Anyone with an idea? Thanks

Thanks. Needless to say when I asked my local dealer about it the response was "I have never heard of that before"
It's just because you're moving at such a high rate of speed, for so long. The new RTV-X's do the same thing, people think they have an oil leak and all it is is the mist of oil coming out of the breather, running down against the back of the cylinder head, and dripping off the machine
Like Shadow said it's probably just a mist, my L3000 does the same thing. Not really a leak, it's just a mess.

Well since I posted this, I have found an extremely patient service mgr at Haug in Willmar, MN. After quite awhile on the phone, and reviewing serial numbers and updates, he discovered mine was made prior to Kubota changing the tranny vent from an inverted J pipe to a cup type, with a cover. This allows the most to accumulate in the cup and drain back. No explanation as to why it actually mists in Hi range, but it corrected the problem.
