Hello from a newbie,

An F2000 is available for (Canadian) $1,800 with blade and no other implement. I like it's 4WD, Diesel, a reputation for reliability, and cheap. My use is to use it with a dump cart.

The question is simple: can I pull a dump cart with the F2000? I don't see a hitch on the photos. Have you ever heard of someone installing one?

Thank you in advance.
Klaus

How big of a dump cart? weight and size?
Just because it does not have a hitch on it now does not mean that you can not put one on it.

Would will you be putting the hitch on the front, (where the mower is), or the back, (where the steering tires are)?

Thank you for responding.

-- A two wheeled cart meant to haul 100 kg (200-250lbs) of equipment around.

The back. From photos, there is a backplate with holes, but it is unclear if that is meant for a hitch. If it's not meant for a hitch, methinks for such a strong machine, and it weighs 1300 lbs, there should be some way to mount one? On a scale of 0 to 10, I am at a '5' mechanically. Average hobby farmer with a day job.

Insights much valued and thanked.

The only way you can move up from here is to get out of your comfort zone and do something new! The hitch can be the stepping stone. Work up a sketch of what you think will work, measure, adjust and start gathering iron. Cutting and welding is all that's left. If you need help with that find someone who can do it but make sure they give you an idea of what they are doing and why. This will increase your confidence to proceed further.

Yes that "back plate" is the frame of that model and yes that is where you would bolt a hitch to it. ;)

Update: My F2000 with dump cart. Supremely happy with it and it's my first tractor. Filled the cart with heavy wet clay and drove it up a hill in 4WD and with the chains on.
