I'm wondering what engines will swap with the v1501 in my L345DT?
I've been told that at v2203 might interchange and I've read on this site that a v1903 won't. Where can someone get the interchange details?

I've learned a few things along this line. I have an L345 with the V1501. If it had been a later model it would have had the V1702. I bought a V1903 on ebay. It doesn't have the holes in the front of the block for the alxe mount. When rebuilding the V1501 I tried the bellhousing plate on the V1903. The rear main seal hole wasn't big enough. I have a Z751 that I robbed the pistons from for the V1501. Same bolt pattern as the V1501 and hole size for the rear main seal cover. I have a V2203 I bought for the flywheel and bellhousing. It has the holes in the front to mount the tractor front axle to. It also has the drive on the camshaft for the hydraulic pump. Something else you have to have for installation in a tractor.

RDR, thanks for the reply. I've finally gotten back around to this tractor project. I found what I think (still need to verify) is a v1702 on craigslist. It is an industrial motor so the oil pan is wrong as well as the intake horn and exhaust. Otherwise it looks like a fit and was a fresh rebuild. For some reason I'm not finding engine ID numbers where they should be. It is a 4 cylinder and from the oil filter and water pump it looks like it is either a v1502 or v1702. The block casting has a 1732cc on it... I'll keep looking.
