Been doing quite a bit of researching on my soon to be tractor purchase. There is sure a lot to consider...LOL

I had been bouncing between a B3350 and a smaller L series but a few of my friends scared me in to wanting more horsepower. On my las trip to our local dealer he told me avout a program they have where they lease a new L4701 to a local orchard for one harvest then sell it. He said it will have around 200 hours and it will sell for ~23k which, his words, is about 7k less than new. It won't have a loader (apple and cheery orchards don't use them) so I would have to buy a new loader which would bring me to the 30k area. It would come with the full warranty and is eligible for Kubota's 0% financing.

When I price a brand new machine on the Kubota web site I get a price of 32,687 for the same thing. When I walked out of the dealer I was thinking the harvest lease return was a great deal but now I am wondering if it really is.

I know employees tend to be much harder on equipment that the guy paying the bills so maybe those 200 hours are worth the 2600?

I am also wondering if pricing varies from dealer to dealer? Does the web site accurately reflect pricing throughout a reasonable driving distance? I have more than enough truck and trailer to make a long trip with 5000 lbs of tractor if it would save me some coin.

When I bought my L3200 new in 2012 the cash price was well below the published retail price. The difference between used + loader vs. new package should be less than the $2,600. I'd lean towards new.

Price online doesn't reflect the rebates and discounts provided to the dealers. However, based on above I don't think you are getting a good deal.
