B2650HSDC with the LA534 FEL

I have dollies for my other implements, but not the FEL.

I have tried a search on this site and on utube, but only really come up with the dolly for the BX.

I need to determine how heavy duty it needs to be to allow removal from the tractor.
If this is not practical, any thoughts on lifting and removing it from the dolly that will support the FEL once off the tractor?

Thanks

Do you really need a dolly? If you are not moving the FEL after removing from the tractor would a pallet to rest it on suffice? I have my implements resting on plastic pallets when not in use. The pallet holds my box blade that weighs 382 lbs. I think that is more weight than your FEL.

One more thought occurred to me. If you need a dolly, you could make one out of a pallet just by putting castors on it. You can pick up castors at Harbor Freight, and pallets can be obtained many places for free.

Check out this video. If you find it of interest he has one or two more showing the loader dolly.

I need it to move it off into the corner of my shop, easier than trying to maneuver the tractor into a tight spot.

My concern is the pressure/force I guess more than the weight.

I use 2 of the harbor freight furniture dollies, one under the bucket and the other is long enough when turned diagonal to put under the stand arms. Works like a charm, can move it around with ease....11.99ea at HF.

I too used cheap car dollies for my bucket dolly. Add another pair for FEL arms.

There is a nice used hardwood pallet out there with your name on it young padwan, your mission is to find it and bring it to its new home. You are meant to be together.

Do you place the bucket on the dollies after it is removed or remove it onto the dollies?

I tried removing it onto a HF dolly and it snapped it quite quickly and easily. Maybe I did it wrong.
I lower it onto the 2x's and disconnect like usual. Works great so far. I think using the steel to keep each pair of dollies lined up was key. I countersunk the 2x4 fasteners (through bolted) to each pair of dollies. I experimented with only using one dolly on each side but it was not stable enough to disconnect and you had to have the balance point exactly right. As you can see the weight of the HD bucket and cutting bar is pretty significant.

My next project is to get the backhoe onto these car dollies but to keep them intact as they are needed for other moves occasionally.

After....it's easy enough to tilt the bucket off the floor using the arms, have a helper slide the dolly under the bucket. Then use the same helper to slide one under the stand while lifting the arms

That might work on your loader, but mine is not easily lifted.

Thanks, though.

Measure the foot print of your FEL with the arms, and your backhoe I have lots of OSB and plywood scraps, 2x4’s etc. I used two ($7.99) HF dollies for each large implement , with the appropriate size piece of plywood screwed right onto the base of the dolly. when your using the implements, the dollies stand up out of the way.

Non issue with me. I use the loader from one of my M9's to move the removed loader from the other M9 around. Nice to have 2. Simplifies things greatly..... and gives me another tractor too. (y)

I have busted thoses HF dollys myself. For some applications they might work. But not for all.
I've built a dolly for a customers snowblower to move around in his garage and another customer for his snow plow to move around in his garage.
If you weld use steel tube and decent castors. McMaster Carr has a german blue castor that with one push your FEL is down the street. If you don't weld support your local fabricator. Or if you work with wood. A strong wood frame and decent castors.
