Added a few new things, the grease fittings caps, magnetic large cup holder, “suicide” knob on the steering wheel, I had this top added by the dealer, it is called a “Cool Top” and yes, it is made right here in the Great State of North Carolina by Americans, Let’s Make America Strong Again! It has a very powerful fan built into it that really makes the difference here in NC on a hot summer day. Quick Attachments for the various implements also put a yoke on it and that makes it really easy to change your implements faster. Put magnetic mirrors on and made a little extra protection for the grill with some extruded metal mesh and some aluminum to frame it, just used zip ties to hold it for now, made some brackets out of 3/4” conduit clamps that I flattened out the u shaped part and painted them orange but they were still drying. I have these Nilights that I will be installing tomorrow morning along with the switches, probably going to put them on the top front and back. I have a chainsaw holder that I will be installing also but haven’t wrapped my head around just how yet. More mods and upgrades to come. Just trying make it easier for me plus protecting my investment. My last tractor got damaged in a woods when a branch went through the radiator, so just wanted to be safe. Until next time, hopefully this will help someone else do something similar to their tractor.

Kind of like, "Pimp my Ride"... I need to add mirrors to my tractor, on the to do list!

Question about the grease you use for the front end loader... (in the photo with the red zerk caps) what type of grease is that? I haven't seen that "color" grease...

I use black Moly and it gets everywhere!!!

I really can’t tell you what it is since it’s the grease that was in it when I received the tractor from the dealer! I had planned on calling them about something else so I will ask them about that grease and let you know what they say.

I purchased them from Amazon. They are magnetic and the magnets are very strong. I put one on and needed to reposition it and it was not very easy to remove. They are $26.99 plus tax. I plan to put a rear view mirror on my cool top also just makes it easier when backing up and not having to turn around to see.

I spoke with him dealer and they use a grease called, MYSTIK JT-6 High Temperature, it’s about $10 a tube on Amazon.

Not trying to start a "what type of grease do you use" war but I use Lucas Red 'N' Tacky. About the same color, slightly less $ than MYSTIC.

Got to get me a Lock-N-Lubes. Never thought about caps for the zerks, not a bad idea.

Is that a cup holder on the ROPS or a fire extinguisher holder?

When I spoke with the dealer, they told me that the grease you are using is just as good if I wanted to use it. So I will probably order some, just going to check a couple of sites that I order from to see where it’s the best option with shipping and taxes and of course the cost. I live about 25 miles from the nearest town that I could possibly get it so I usually order online for most things to avoid running to town for stuff that I can get usually wait for it to arrive. Thanks for your advice and that’s why I like this site. Just about forgot the cup holder. Got it from Amazon and it is magnetic, it said it will hold a 50 oz cup but I have not tried it yet. I can say that the magnets are good but probably won’t hold a full 50oz cup on a tractor that is moving around doing bucket work or road grading. Just my thoughts on it. Probably will find out and I really like the holder so I will try to source stronger magnets if needed. Thanks again

I just wanted to do a quick update on the quick attachments I have on my 3 point hitch. I just got a new hook for the attachment. The original one seemed to always be hard to connect to because the hook was too small or wasn’t made to stick out far enough and the implements would get hung up on the top of the hook and bracket that held the hook in place. I found a replacement hook on Amazon that was made to stick out far enough to fit implements correctly. It called “E-Cowlboy Top Hook, it works perfectly for a Harbor Freight quick attachment. $19.30

I am a “Lucas Red-N-Tacky guy, and I live less than 4 miles from the nearest Wally World, and I still try to NOT go there.

I have been ordering most/all of my greases and oils (and some filters) from the WW website.

They seem to have the best price, free delivery when orders are $35+ , and I dont have to deal with the numb-skulls (both the patrons and employees).

Not only that, but our WW has recently had the worst selection of “in stock” oils I have ever seen, but the website has everything.

Just my experice.

I ordered some from Walmart.com today. Probably never use it all but to save money on shipping, I ordered over the $35 required for free shipping. Thanks for the suggestion

I started the install on the Nilights but couldn’t get into the dash to install the switch! I have looked in the search but nothing has come up for my B2401 dash access. So if someone has any suggestions please let me know. Oh, if anyone wants a really great lights system, look at the Nilights on Amazon, they come with everything you need to install, lights, brackets, hardware and complete wiring harness with switch and power supply hook up, relay and fuses. Makes for a very clean setup when you can get in the dash!
Thanks

And by the way, the magnetic cup holder, like I had said it would, it fell off the tractor today. So I’m going to look at stronger magnets but for now I’m going to use zip ties.

Hahah, thats either funny…or concerning?????

I’ll burn through a 10 pack of grease in no time, and with 2 tractors I have a hard time thinking you won’t as well. (y)

Grease often, and liberally my friend! (it will pay dividends in the end).

I picked up a bunch of Harbor freight magnets on sale a while back.
They are about 3" dia. I used some on my WC68 chipper to hold a jack and that never came off. I since made a hydraulic set up to open up for clogs and the jack doesn't get used but it is still there for a backup plan.

I also used 4 of them a couple weeks ago to make some skull savers for the arms on my 2 post lift.
I bought some square 2"x 4" pool floaty at TSC and cut squares to fasten to the magnets. They stick to the ends of the box tubing arms and when I am under neath and turn I hope not get that sudden head pain in the future.

I started ordering parts for my rear hydraulic system to be able to add a hydraulic top link. A shout out to Dan,

Hey Bill, thanks for the heads up on the HF magnets. I have to go to town tomorrow so I’ll stop by HF. I have not completed my install of the lights yet but probably should finish it tomorrow. Most would say why on the lights but I just hate to stop a job if almost done. So that’s why I like lights. Just my own thing I guess!

I hate to stop a job too! I find sometimes that if I do I might misplace parts and pieces that i need to finish then have to spend time looking for them. In my youth I could walk into a dark room and find something I wanted.
At 72 I find that I can't find things and suffer from that walking thru a door syndrome!
Wife sometimes can't understand why I say I will be there in 20 minutes for a meal because I just want to finish or at least get to a good stopping point.
My ways also leads to clutter of working until I am tired or have to go and then not cleaning up or putting things back. My 3 brothers have spotless garages and shops, I didn't get that gene!
