Did I add too much?

I was at a garage sale a couple of weeks ago and bought a L2250 (never know what you'll find at a garage sale) to replace my well worn B8200. After I brought it home, I was topping off all the fluids I noticed the front axle was leaking at both ends. So I checked the dip-stick and it was dry. I got out the 80/90 and emptied it into the axle which got it to what I assume is the low mark on the dip-stick. Went out today and I can see the oil dripping about 1 drop per minute at each end. I am hoping I just overfilled but I suspect I am in for a bit of work.

I think you found out why the oil level was low! I've never worked on a L2250 but it probably is similar to the other L machines

I just checked the price on a service manual for this tractor. $145!!
Sounds like college textbook pricing.

Your local library will often have repair manuals. If they do not----ask the librarian to order one.

I was relieved to find a service manual for my L185 at the library.

Like a previous poster says-----watch ebay and one will turn up sooner or later.

The local Kubota dealer installed new bevel and axle oil seals ($395) so no more leaks. I thought about doing it myself till my back decided I should take it easy for a bit.
