Dethatching gravel

Gravel driveway was looking a little rough over winter. Used a 3pt dethatcher to ‘pick’ the gravel to the surface. This time of year, in Michigan, I didn’t really want to disturb the base too much. Worked great and looks a ton better. That tool is not exactly cheap, but they are super versatile. Also used it to rake up all the fallen branches off the willow tree today… and well, dethatch the lawn.

Non existent winter in mid-Michigan this year. Last week we set the all time high for February. Sigh.

Funny…. I do the exact opposite… I compact/roll-flat the gravel to make a smooth roadbed and to keep dust down.
