Hello All,

Just joined, been reading articles for the last 2 years while owning my tractor. Performing my first hydraulic service on my B2620. It has 120 hours on it. I slightly overfilled the hydraulic fluid so I decided to siphon some fluid out. Problem is the the small tube on the end of my siphon dropped into the transmission cavity when pumping fluid out. It's probably 1/4" diameter and 4 in long. Not sure what to do now. I'm pretty mechanical and kinda kicking myself for such a rookie mistake. Hopefully some one has some advice on ways to get it out.

If it's ferrous metal, you can get them out with a magnet on a stick trick (mechanics magnet, etc.) If it's not ferrous and you can see it, you can retrieve it with a mechanics grab stick (has little fingers that push out when you push the button on the top of it).

I don't know the exact situation and how it sits, but those are pretty common reach tools that can fit in relatively small holes. If you can't see it, you can probably rent an inspection camera that might be able to find it and maybe guide something else to grab it.

You need the claw type retriever. Would be a case of fishing around til you snag it. I think i got mine at a bargain store for a couple dollars. Draining it would possibly make it magically appear.

I appreciate the responses and suggestions. Picked up a claw retriever and had it out 10 minutes later.
