:ROFLMAO: Our neighbor has a German Short-hair, name Luna... (which is short for Lunatic, very fitting name!)
Mine was very laid back and gentle. She loved to be outside but never went very far. She would love to lay in the edge of the woods when it was hot out, and her brown color made her difficult to see or find. All I had to do was to put a handful of dog food in her stainless steel bow and give it a quick up and down so she could hear it. She would appear instantly. She wasn't that good about coming when you called her because she preferred to be outside unless it was cold or snowing. Then she wanted to be in front of the pellet stove.

I sure do miss my German Shorthair. Tempted to get another but I don't know if I have the patience for how active they are as puppies. I would love to find a senior female GS.
I have a 4 year old Lab female, and she is a big love!
My son has a male German Shorthair the same age, and he is a great animal.
There is a HUGE difference in activity though.
The Shorthair only stops to sleep, the Lab sleeps all day.
They are BOTH wonderful animals.
The Shorthair actually begs to have his teeth brushed.... with meat flavored toothpaste.
