Hello,

I would like to install a tachometer on my graymarket B6001 which has the same engine as the B6100 (the D650A). So I assume it will use the same dynamo aswell. Now is there anybody who can tell me if my dynamo has a W signal for the tachometer?

ah, thanks for the information about the dynamo.
Can you help me with the part number for the original meter?
And have you got any idea in what price range it will be?

I don't think the B6100 ever used an electric tachometer. the hourmeter was electric however but it simply run off the ignition on position. The dynamo is producing AC current though and the frequency increases proportionally with the RPM so a tach could be connected if you could get it calibrated. There is no "W" terminal on the B6100 dynamo ( or any other Kubota dynamo that I'm aware of)

So what i could do then is installing one with a sensor for the fuel pump pulse on the injector line or install one with a magnet and a sensor on the crankshaft pulley since the original costs waaaay to much in my eyes :)

The magnet on the front pulley is probably the easiest. Almost any automotive tach can be made work that way ( depending on the tach it may require more than one magnet).

I love that quote Vic... Makes perfect sense.

Vic, will those part numbers you listed be the same for my B-7100?

Thanks, Dan
