I just joined here. My dad has a late model Kubota, I thought it would be good to join for his tractor but I just bought a D650 engine for a project. I have been looking for a gasket set for it and haven't had any luck. I tried Messicks and I can find all the individual gaskets but not a set. Am I overlooking something? Anybody have any other ideas?

Try E-Bay --- search for Kubota D650 and see what pops up -- you may get lucky. They seem to be selling in the mid $100 range.
That sure seems high for a set of gaskets! With cars the head gasket always makes up the bulk of the cost and they run around $50 for the D650. Hard to believe the rest of them are worth $325.
Been checking eBay but haven't seen a set pop up.

The other day Vic ordered a rebuilt kit for a loader control valve. Cost him $100 and consisted - get this - of about 10 different types of rubber washers and rings that you could probably get at a hardware store for $0.10 a piece. Shocking to say the least!
