Hello all,

My name is Tom. I have acquired an old B6100HST-D tractor a year ago and I started restoring it a few months ago. I disassembled the engine, chassis, body parts, steering....everything but the transmission. I am returning the tractor to original condition. My question is what should the deck clearance be on this engine? It is a D650-A, SN: 650-H-176000. I am asking because currently the new pistons at TDC travel .023" above the block deck surface. My head gasket measure .052" thick. So im not sure if this is per manufacturers spec. Thanks for all your help...here are some pics of the restore:

Honestly, I have no clue as for an answer to your question. But I have a question. Was the engine running prior to disassembly or did you recent buy, pull the motor (not running) to rebuild and also decide to restore tractor?

That sounds like it could be about right, I will have to look up the specs tomorrow.

Note:
If you had the engine decked (top milled) you will need the same thickness of shim for the injection pump otherwise it will not be in time. ;)
