That is from a Gloria tv twitter post. Gloria tv formerly of Moldova. I suspect fake, but don't have time right now to try to figure it out. Not even CNN would post something that dumb!
But they already have. I thought the "burning meth lab" was a good analogy for what the media has become. Their "trustworthiness rating" and overall likeability is down close to congress. And dog bites. And intestinal parasites. And gas station sushi.

I'm inherently glad I'm on the end of the tape measure of life so I won't be around to see what this country degenerates into.

Not gonna be purty.....

No NO NO! You can make it better, in small ways,, but better! Don't give in! This life is a wild ride! Enjoy every MOMENT!

Out of curiosity I was trying to find some information on the White Coat Summit on Capital Hill yesterday 7/28.

I guess information warfare is real. YouTube says video removed, violating terms of service. Twitter, no longer there. The algorithms must be fine tuned for their censorship because they get it blocked so fast you begin to wonder if it ever existed.

Went to www.americanfrontlinedoctors.com/summit and it says website expired.

It would seem to me in a free country, with all the social media outlets and the crap that is presented on them on a regular basic, like Hollywood goings on, there is something much bigger then a virus going on!

If a Dr. has something to say, and it's not correct in the media owner's opinion and can be shut down we do not have free journalism. This is what leads to lack of information, mis-information and distrust. It makes it pretty easy to see where there may be a connection between big Pharma, and governmental payoffs for big profits. Could also be causing delays in finding existing meds that work, or developing new ones quickly.

We do have a problem!

Here you go D2, more about the original post from BBC. Pretty good example of consider the source before you get excited. My favorite line is that she said Jesus Christ was going to destroy Facebook if her video wasn't put back. They noted that FB servers still seemed to be running.

Part of the reason I was trying to see what was posted is because I understand that woman was belittled for what she was saying. There were possessively quotes she had said at a different time, and was being discredited for what she was saying later because of it. So I guess if she is off the wall all the other Doctors are also, and their reports are worthless?

You'd have to look at what each said, and what their credentials are. What she said about having 350 patient and they were all alive is not very helpful. It doesn't look good if you are hanging out with a fruit loop IMHO. I sure wouldn't pick one of them for a surgeon. The original hydroxychloroquine data was obtained similarly, from cases with no controls. Because it causes heart problems in some people even when used for malaria, Fauci and others said don't use it for covid except in a hospital and as part of a drug trial with controls, and especially use with caution because covid itself damages the heart. The combination might be fatal. I think those trials did not show it to be helpful. You could probably find those studies they should be published by now. An argument could be made that under certain circumstances not tested yet, it might beat nothing...

What I read....

The HCQ "trials" that were a failure were flawed in that they used dosages associated with another similar drug. With the error came failure. Much like mixing SAE and ISO distance dimensions when landing a Mars probe.

As for the Doctors? Some reports said they were paid to stand out there on the steps in the hot sun. Some say they strongly feel that HCQ is beneficial. If I was in a position to need advice, I would ask them. and then ask a few others.

I think everyone here should turn off the tv, stop reading propoganda online (on both sides) and just live life, and use basic common sense. If you are scared of covid - then wear a mask everywhere, keep your distance, take precautions when around crowds. If you are not worried about covid then dont wear a mask if not required, go on with life, but dont bother those who are more fearful. Let everyone do what they feel is best for them. I have opinions on the subject and ive stated them here, but Im perplexed at the constant back and forth page after page trying to convince or prove something to those who disagree. None of you are going to change the others minds. Much of these differences are rooted in perspective of the individual, which is largely filtered through personality differences and a lifetime of reinforcement in a certain world view. Everyday I check in on this thread its more medical studies on masks or some news story to try and further your points. No minds will be changed here. All of you are beating your head into a brick wall. Save yourself the stress and annoyance.

News from Dr Fauci:
(Probably the only thing I'd agree on)

During an interview with ABC News, Dr. Fauci said Wednesday that he may soon advise Americans to wear 'eye protection' to avoid being infected by COVID-19 as deaths along the Sun Belt climb to record highs.

"If you have goggles or an eye shield, you should use it," the doctor said, before adding that it's not universally recommended, "but if you really want to be complete, you should probably use it if you can," he said.

Tornado, sounds like you need to contact the moderators and have them close the thread.

In the mean time I've got the fences fixed, water gaps worked over, grass mowed, everything is working at the moment, typical problems with tenants, but no unusual stresses.

I do not get concerned what others do about wearing a mask. I can isolate myself from anyone I choose to not be around.

I do get concerned about all the inconstant information that is presented about this virus and how it's all interconnected with politics. How a group of folks can develop a plan and carry it out to control their desires.

I don't advocate for shutting the thread down, and if folks actually want to keep jabbing each other for another 100 pages that's fine. I never advocate shutting down debate or discussion unless it gets truly nasty and just out of hand. My argument is just to those involved in the daily fight that they are just wasting their time. I used to spend a lot of time in online forums several years ago debating politics and theology and science. I went to forums specifically for debating such topics and engaged in it for often hours a day. I finally burned myself out from it, and learned a lot of good lessons along the way. My subsequent dive into a massive study of american history has also further broadened my perspective. I realize that ignorance has always had a loud voice in societies going back thousands of years. Its not new today - nor unprecedented. I used to feel a little sense of dread about our world and society - as if we were devolving into a ignorant bunch of sheep, led by an all to influential media. Then I realized this happened in the 1700's as well, and the 1800's. None of it is new. Social media just makes it much more easy for the ignorant to make much more noise and reach more people now, but the ignorant in society have always had a dominant steering current on affairs. The "news media" has always been biased, and at times down right dirty. Newspapers in the 1790's for example were vicious and down right propaganda papers with little fact printed. They were far worse than a CNN or MSNBC or Fox News of today. Its just all louder today, with the internet and social media. We are dominated and controlled by the fringes on each side of the political divide. I think my years of book reading on the revolution and up through the early 1900's has vastly expanded my perspective, and ultimately helped me to settle into a more mature mindset about society at large. I've tried to share my new perspective with friends and family when I have the chance but it is often rejected. People are so stuck on their narrow world view they will hear nothing except that which further reinforces their own opinions. We all tend to gravitate to echo chambers, and it takes a certain level of maturity and self awareness I think to step outside of that and attempt to expand your perspective. This is the position with which I make my post above, not to try and silence anyone.

Tornado, I agree to a point, but as this goes on and more and more is uncovered, the people that are running around scared need to be made aware of it because lord knows the media they listen to isn't doing it.

You are right, you can't talk someone that is scared of the invisible monster out of their fear. You should be able to educate them though. Unfortunately, like math, a lot of people are just not good at learning and need to be lead. AND doubly unfortunate is that they are being led by an agenda.
