I am using a friends bx2200 and a county line auger. I feel the installation is wrong as the raising of the device is limited to being in the first hole on the yellow arm. Are there different lengths of lower arms?
I need to lift using the second or third hole to increase the lifting force. Currently the auger can over come the lifting force and "screws in" to the ground.
The valve near the seat is open.

Any productive suggestions are welcome.

IMO it's a function of a number of variables: tractor pto power, auger size, ground composition and user method / experience.

Try taking smaller "bites" and empty the hole frequently similar to if you were using a hand drill with a deep hole. Maybe adjust the valve so it doesn't drop fast also? I will let others chime in but in my ground (read as some soil & rock) it will usually want to pin the tractor if I am not careful.

Note I have not it used on my L (only the old Ford) and have 9" auger
