I have a real good M8200 with the hydraulic shuttle.I have been looking for a used loader for it.When I look at the specs on the M8200 on Tractor Data it says the Pump Flow is 17.1 GPM.The M9000 is rated at 23.1 GPM.Is this correct?Would that mean the loader would be quite a bit slower in operation?
Wolfman hit on it - the gallons per minute are simply the AMOUNT the pump can pump, but at what pressure are these two pumps pumping?
Think this way, a squirt gun and a water hose, one has lots of available water the other limited (GPM) one can push out water about 3 feet, the other can squirt 10 feet away, simply because the water in the squirt gun is under higher pressure thus goes further, now place your thumb over the end of the hose and the game changes.
in hydraulics, all that is the same, size of piping, size of cylinders, stroke of cylinders, pressure behind the pump....etc. ALSO the type of viscosity changes that too!
