I have a L3010, which makes a horrible noise when I push in the clutch, won't go Forward or Reverse..... Any ideas to start to determine cause/fix?

Either throw out bearing or no clutch/friction disk left - betcha the bearing is toast

Pedal move as it should?

yes, pedal moves... but I didn't force further than screeching
Someone told me something about there might be oil on the clutch.... does this sound possible and would it make that noise? My hunch is that it wouldn't make such a grinding noise..

With the tractor NOT RUNNING what happens when you push the clutch pedal down? Does it feel normal?

Do you know if the tractor has a cover on the right side near the pedals about 2x3 inches? Some have this access to a grease fitting that greases a sliding part that moves the throw out bearing but does NOT grease the bearing itself. You may be able to see what the inside looks like around your pressure plate area.

It's time to split it and put a clutch disk, Throw out bearing, pressure plate and pilot bearing in it.
