Cheaper source for tie rod ends?

I cannot believe the price of replacement tie rod ends. There HAS to be something from another vehicle that will work. Suggestions?

Knock your tie rod out, measure the taper big end and little end, determine the metric thread,(also right or left thread) then plug in the numbers here at Moog...http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/universal_outer_tie_rod_ends.asp

A quick search at another site may well reward you with tie rod ends at 5-10 bucks apiece....
I just rebuilt a drag link for 25 bucks..(L2050)...and the new connectors cost 15 of that..plus a bit of welding and grinding.

Start putting cheaper aftermarket parts on your Kubota, and you'll end up with a cheap aftermarket tractor.

Anyone care to point me in the direction of a 35 buck draglink for a L2050 ? While I certainly appreciate that beautiful nearly 1" bar on that draglink, I really don't think the version I put together will wear out in the next 5-10 years. and I am not a purist.
I need something around here to drag dirt, disk, brush-hog...not farm a few hundred acres. Good enough for what I do. Besides, I needed that 200 bucks I saved to do a brake job on my F-150....

Yes, I intend gathering a used timing gear cover for a Massey 35 I just bought a few weeks ago from a fairly local junkyard. Seems that any that have Kubotas in them are 500 miles away.
Been my experience that non-repairable parts like tie rod ends are mostly also worn out by the time a tractor hits the junk yards.
That, plus the fact that I seem unable to navigate the internet well, means that I have found very few L2050s being parted out in this country.
