I need to change the tranny filter on my BX2380. How much fluid am I likely to lose in the process?

Not sure about the BX, but the suction filter is the one that gushes on my LX unless you use the shop vac trick to draw a vaccum.

IDK about the BX. On my MX I nearly had mine changed with only about a cup of lost fluid, then I fumble fingered the filter and ended up losing about a quart.

Yeah, I didn’t lose a lot as I recall. Seems like contents of the filter plus a little more.

The BX series tractors all have a pressure-fed filter, so you only lose what is in the filter. There are very few drips while the filter is off.

It's been a minute (5 years or so) since I changed the hydraulic oil and filter, and cleaned the hydraulic oil screen on the BX25 that I had. I don't recall losing much if any oil so that jives with what @whitetiger stated above. The screen should be cleaned and inspected.
