I need to change the fuel filter on my B1502 it looks easy but the handbook I have talks about bleeding the fuel line after the replace.
The handbook (for same engine but different model) shows bleed screws on top of the filter housing but my housing doesn't have them; it does however have a thin line returning to the fuel tank.
Any ideas? suggestions? Much appreciated.

Cheers Brian

Some models have a self bleed feature, mine does, and it sounds like yours should as the small vent line bleed the air out and back to the tank.;)

Turn off fuel remove filter clean housing install new filter tighten housing, turn on fuel, if the housing fills very quickly with fuel, you have a self bleeder, if it looks like it fills but slow or if it traps air on the top you will need to bleed it at the side of the injection pump.

Thanks Wolfman I was wondering if it was a self bleed feature; your confirmation that such things exist gives me the confidence to have a go.

I will post my success, or otherwise :)

Cheers Brian.

Hello, I have the same tractor and changed the fuel filter two years ago. I closed the fuel line and unscrew the glass with the filter. I replaced it and filled some diesel in the glass. After I had the glass back in place, I started the engine. No problem at all.

I have just realized, that you live in Victoria. I will be around Melbourne in February, to some service on radar... :)
