I understand there is a filter or screen in the right subframe or tower where the fluid reservoir resides. Is this located at the bottom of the tower, where the lower hose comes out? I assume one should clean out the tower reservoir as well? What is the best way to do this, before refilling with fluid?

Thanks!!

Screen, yes. Disconnect the hose and you can unscrew the strainer. No doubt that you might find crud at the very bottom. What I did before was to fashion a scoop with a sturdy plastic spoon with the sides trimmed so it would fit in the opening. I scooped out years of crud from the previous owners, clean the strainer, reassemble, and refill from the top. Keep in mind that you want at least 6" of space from the top or it will overflow during operation. Definitely don't lower the FEL with the engine off.

It's an easy job.
