I went to change the coolant on my relatively new to me but used RTV. I was surprised to find 2 radiators. After some research I did drain the coolant and verified that both radiators were empty. I flushed the system (refilled with distilled water and ran for 10-15 minutes and got it warm). Then after draining the system I refilled with coolant. The manual says it holds 8.3 quarts but I only put in about 6-7 before both radiators were full. This surprised me. I figured I had an air bubble somewhere. But even after warming the tractor up (with the heater on high) I never got much if any air out of it. The temperature gauge went up to 2 bars which is where it normally goes and the heater made great heat. The rear radiator under the tractor is located a little lower then the front one. It is full to the brim when I replaced it's cap. The front radiator is currently just ever so slightly below the level of the radiator cap. So as best as I can tell it is filled as well as I am able to do so. I did run the engine with out the top radiator cap on and all I did was to start to have coolant expand out the top filler. I did put the radiator cap on it. After it got warm and then cooled some I rechecked the upper tank level and it was possibly down just a little. The overflow tank is at the 3/4 full mark and doesn't seem to have changed much.

So is there something different I should do to make sure there are no significant air bubbles trapped in the system somewhere? Or should I just recheck the level after each day of use and fill accordingly? Not used to doing this on engines with a heater loop and never on a 2 radiator system.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

There is a bleeder valve on the LR of the cabin. You open the bleeder while filling, warm the engine, and open the bleeder until the air is out.
