I'm posting this picture in as many places as I can in hopes that people will put their phones down and stop texting or talking on them. This 17 year old girl is damn lucky to be alive after hitting an SUV head on. This was a car I picked up from a accident this afternoon that I scooped up in the tow truck. She managed to get away with only a few broken bones. I'm not sure about the driver of the SUV which was not nearly as bad as her station wagon. The SUV ended up in a field about 30 yards off the roadway.

Yeah, couple summers ago I watched a kid pull out from the High School and drive right into the back end of a car driven by a little old lady. He was on his phone, happened right in front of me.
Folks really need to avoid using them while driving (and on the golf course, bugs the heck out of me!).

Yep cell phones are bad, texting is even worse, esp if your rideing a bike. I was going to see the folks last summer, minding my own busness and a car rolled up along side me and the harley which if you cant hear ya gota be deaf. Now a lot of folks will do that just to look at lil red shes not to much, but she looks nice, and then pull away wave and go on their merry way. This one how ever stayed a little longer than most and I noticed it was getting closer and closer by this time I'm running over the rumble strips on the berm screaming calling this woman everthing but a child of God blowing the horn and pretty much haveing going have to change my drawers when I get to the hospital or morge. I guess when her tires hit the rumble strips she looked up looked at me and pulled back in the right hand and took off,,,that in it's self was bad but her passanger was also texting as well and neither one saw heard or much cared that they almost killed some one.
Some days I think its a good thing I dont carry when Im on the bike

I've made a consious commitment to"" if ever in an accident, make a note of the exact time, get the other drivers cell #. If anyone is hurt, the lawyers can legally get that person's cell phone record. SUE the &^% out of them. Just make sure it's never you with the cell phone.....
ps. would be a good idea to quickly take pictures of vehicle and VIN # in dash, can see that # thru the windshield, in front of driver, in case driver takes off before police arrive. Happened to me 3 mths ago. Had to pay the deductible myself.
