Ok boys and girls, camping time is coming and I scored a 6 quart Dutch oven at the local thrift shop for a buck, (I think it might be chinlee no markings on it) ,though its for stove top/oven cooking (no legs) Im sure I could use it with a tri pod or over a grill. My question is, and I have been all over the freekin web and it seems that every site has cut and pasted from each other, does anybody cook with a Dutch oven? I’m looking for real information from real people I can trust. You know ,,tips, recipes and so on,, and no I don’t plan on hauling a bag of charcoal with me to cook over, though I know that’s the preferred method.

Check with the local Boy Scouts.
They use them all the time, or at least our troop does. The assistant scout master can cook any thing in a dutch oven.
