My BX2680 (50 hours) had a massive hydraulic leak yesterday from area of the rear axle. Dealer, 50 miles away, suspects rodent damage to 'return hydraulic hose'. Any thoughts about DIY fixes?

Stop suspecting. Where is the leak? Clean everything and then run it for a few seconds if you cannot see the leak source right now.My BX2680 (50 hours) had a massive hydraulic leak yesterday from area of the rear axle. If it is rodent damage or if something got jammed in there, the warranty will not cover it, and the bill is the owner's responsibility.Warranty should cover it. Did you run over something, jam something in that area? Maybe your dealer didn’t check everything out like they were supposed to.. let them fix it.
The tractor could be several years old for all we know. With that low of hours, would think something wasn't tightened down at purchase. Would suck if it was a rodent though.
