BX2660 got the "shakeys"

Good Morning,
Maybe a little help,eh? I have a '08 BX2660. Love the tractor and it's performance for what I use it for. Question: When I turn it off, the engine shakes quite evidently the last 1/2 second before totally turning off. Kinda rattles the whole tractor. Is this normal? I attempt to take good care of her with maintenance and all so I'm a little in the dark on this one. Any suggestions?

This is common for a diesel tractor, take it to idle when you shut it down. John

And, yes, it is disconcerting that the tractor shakes to high heaven when shut off, even when idled down.

Check the engine every now and again to see if the shaking has broken anything mounted to the engine. Mine has been through several air cleaner brackets until one was fabricated and reinforced. Others have even mounted the air cleaner to the shroud rather than leave it on the engine.

The engine will probably shake a little at idle also. The key thing to look at is if the engine smooths out at higher RPMs. If it does, then everything is normal and OK.
