I have a BX23s. The thought of a belly road grader has crossed my mind. -->All other equipment readily available is not relevant.

Why, when there are other tools already made? I say why not?

The blade used would come from a 60" 3PT Back Blade.

Has anyone else had the idea? Did you follow through with the build?

Show me what you've made.

Off hand I'd say lack of height is the main reason. How tall is the rear blade, add 6" or more for clearance.
I've seen them built for garden tractors, like the Sears ST16 series in the 70's.. A-C had them for their 'G'.

JD had them for the 140/300 series as well. I never put much time into finding (getting the seller to ship it to me was the problem) one, so I gave up.

The height under the frame wouldn't actually an issue. A blade can be cut to a lesser height easy enough.

Before getting my kubota I did everything with my 8N and still use it a lot . Thought about making one for that to grade my long driveway. I never did but wondered about a piece of channel iron as a start. Now you have that thought swirling around in my head again! I did make a wing out of a garden tractor blade for "shelving" the snow banks when they got high. It works but you have to keep up with it or it pulls the front end to the right. Lack of 4wd on the old girl!

But a grader blade, hmmm, I feel like Homer Simpson thinking about doughnuts!
