I am still trying to fix my prior hydraulic issue here. Even after replacing the o-ring in the filter screen, I am still seeing a bit of white foam in my oil after running it for ~10 minutes.

As I was removing my rear wheel to examine my hydraulic lines again, I noticed the below circled piece in this picture. Can anyone with a bx23s tell me if this looks the same on their tractor? It seems open which is concerning. Nothing appears to be coming out of it, but I wonder if it's sucking air in somehow?

Any other theories, the crazier the better, are welcome.

The only suction is between the hydraulic oil and hydraulic pump, on the other side of your tractor. It is not possible to suck anything through the boss you have circled.

OK... you asked for this....:
Simple problem it seems to me. If it’s a threaded hole.... put a short bolt in it as a plug. If it’s not, put a probe in it to see if it’s a through-hole. If so, put a rubber plug in it.
