Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum and looking for advice on the best or ideal size for a back blade on a BX23S. The two primary uses would be for snow removal and levelling dirt (after digging a ditch, yard, etc.). I'm interested in an offset back blade for more functionality. Any suggestions on size/length and manufacturer would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

I have a bx2660 and i went with a 5 foot blade from "family farm and home"

6' is just too big in my situation, 4 was too small

5 is just perfect, and i went with the tarter brand since its orange...

everyone knows its gotta match color with the tractor!!

Ive been very happy with it. Its a lighter duty blade, but built well. I use it for scraping my driveway clean after i snowblow it.

I do put some suitcase weights on it to give it more weight to scrape down to the concrete.

Overall , Im very happy with it. It was normally 349.99, but i got it for 300 on sale.

Yes like he said a 60 incher is your most effective,, can you run a bigger one sure but you dont have the tractor weight to use it, horse power and torque you got that covered just not the weight

As others have said - 5'er is ideal, at angle will cover the width of tires. Even then in heavy wet snow- it will jerk the front end around:)

I'm going to recommend a 5' as well. I was lucky enough to find one that tilted as well as rotated. If you can swing it, i would HIGHLY recommend it. You can tilt it and clean ditches or just pull the pin and let it float to smooth out loose gravel/dirt. Just a recommendation for ya.

Woods RB60 is what I ended up with.
