Bx23s mower PTO lever stuck

Hello, everyone, new to the forum. Just purchased a bx23s with the 54” drive over mower deck. I have an issue when I connect/disconnect the mower deck PTO. It won’t even budge when I try to disconnect it. I have to use a bar clamp to help push the large silver pto block (on the tractor side of the connection and opposite side from the yellow lever, yellow arrow in picture) while I move the yellow lever (blue arrow in picture) and still with some resistance. I’ve greased the pto connection and the two rods on which that large silver pto block slides through the deck frame but it still doesn’t help.

No response from dealer on this so thought I’d ask here. Thanks!

I think yu have to have the mower deck mounted to the tractor BEFORE the PTO wil work properly!
Just my 2c as I do not, or never had that type mower.

Is the PTO shaft lined-up with the input box? On mine, I need to raise the deck a little to line everything up. Otherwise, the shaft will not go into the gear box block.
