Any idea what would drain my battery dead? Tractor is only one month old and key was all the way off. It sat for a couple of weeks without being used but snow is coming tomorrow. It took a charge but what would cause that?

Assuming the alternator is working, must be a bad battery or a short to ground somewhere. I would slap a meter on it while running to ensure the alternator is providing charging voltage, then with the tractor off test for a current drain.

Any idea how long it sat at the dealers before you bought it, or if it was ever fully charged at any point ? Try charging it up to a full charge, and see how it behaves after that. Or you could remove it, and get it load tested after you fully charge it up, to see if it holds a charge.
