BX2350 LCD chip p/n

Hello,

Newbie here. I have the same problem noted on this site with the dash on my BX2350 that I recently purchased. I can't read the LCD Tach/Hour display. I have taken the dash apart and I believe that just the LCD display chip needs to be replaced. However I can't find p/n on it. I sent an email to the Dash mfg. but no reply yet. All of the info (hours...) should be stored on the main controller PIC chip I believe. I have found other LCD displays but I am not sure if the original has one or two lines in the display, anyone know what it looks like when it is working ?

I also have a BX2350 with the same problem. The LCD display has turned completely black. I find that if I let the sun shine on the dash for about 20 minutes the display clears up until it cools of a bit. Dealer has said that it IS NOT a replaceable part. to fix it you will have to replace the entire dash. I have not done this yes as it is very costly (about $250) and I am on a tight fixed income. Be advised that if you DO replace the dash, your hour meter part of it WILL revert to ZERO. I had heard that there was a recall on this, but dealer says they had not heard of it.

I do not have a picture of the dash, but will try to get one to you when the sun comes out again. We are going to have cloudy days for the next few days.

Thanks for replying, greatly appreciated. I thought it was a one line LCD, so now it's just a matter of finding the p/n of original or a replacement. Now the challenge is on! I sent an email to Maxima Technologies which are now Maximatecc (mfg. of dash unit) inquiring about the issue and asked for p/n of the LCD chip, no reply, no surprise. They do make awesome dashes for all kinds of things however I'm not impressed with this issue nor Kubota for not standing by their product. I bought it knowing the issue thinking I could fix it, time will tell. I'm pretty confident I can fix it as long as their are no other issues with the main board. All of the data, hours are stored on the main square chip PICF914 microcntroller so the data should be fine just need the LCD display replaced. I will keep you posted, my guess is the LCD would be less than $20. See my LCD.

Well, Kubota finally called me today and said THEY will cover the replacement of my dash module because I had not bee notified of the recall on it. Now I just need to find a trailer large enough to haul it to the dealer. GREAT customer service ! !

Looks like mine. I wonder if mine was recalled? My bx2350 hour/rpm guage isnt readable during cold weather. Works fine in the summer. If I call the dealer with the serial number, think they can look it and determine if all recalls have been done?

the ONLY way I got any help from Kubota was to e-mail Kubota USA in California. After sending the e-mail to them, it took about a week and they called me on the phone and said that THEY had contacted my dealer and set up the replacement dash panel. No I need to find a way to get the tractor to them. It is about 45 miles away and I don't have a trailer to haul it. I'll probably have to rent one for that. Will be calling dealer today to set it up and see how long they will need to have it there.

UPDATE ! ! Dealer called me and set it up to come to my place to replace the dash module. GREAT customer service ! ! !
