i think eventually i would like to add aftermarket gauges. has anyone done this before? i would like to add a real tachometer (that tiny digital readout sucks, lets face it), an oil pressure gauge, and perhaps an amp gauge. some of the factory instrumentation is severely lacking. can the installation be neat (what to use for a gauge pod). i see where the oil pressure sender is, how to install a tach without having an ignition system to read pulses?

I know this is an old thread, but I can say that in 16 years with my BX2200, having a tachometer, oil pressure gage, or ammeter has not been needed or missed. Even the erratic fuel gage has not been a big deal to me.
