Hello, I'm new to the site and as of this past Saturday, a new (used) BX23 owner. The guy I purchased it from was the second owner and had never had the hoe off of it, so he couldn't really tell me how it works. I've searched the available videos online and can't seem to find one for the BX23. It looks different that what I'm seeing on the other BX models. It has levers on each side and the top pins have C-clips on the inside and outside, not the pull bar that I'm seeing at the ends of the pins on the other tractors. Until I have a good idea of how it works, I'm worried about figuring it out and then not being able to re-attach it. Any help, especially a video, would be great. Thanks in advance. PS, I've attached a picture showing what I could so that it hopefully makes more sense.

That is the way a BX22 is setup. Those levers will rotate to unlock the hoe when you get the pressure off of it.

BigFish I'll scan and send you the mount-dismount instructions from my BT900 on my BX22 if you like.

Ok, that's good to know. I was starting to get a little worried. I don't know how often I'll be taking the hoe off to use the 3pt., but it would be nice to know how to if that time comes. Thanks for the replies so far. I WILL do my best to make a video if I can get this thing figured out. Thanks again.

Did you get the 3-point parts (lift arms and rods, etc.)?

I suggest trying and loosening up the BH, remove the pins, apply lithium grease to them and re-installing. Do it when you have time and do not need to get the BH off. You'll be glad you did when the times comes to remove it. Many have found that when the BH has been left on and the pins never greased, it is a real PITA to get off. Not something you want to deal with when you want it off NOW. Like a dead tree. Do you cut it down when you have the time or deal with it after it falls during a storm?
When I bought my BX, first thing I did was lube the pins for the BH and FEL.

Yes, luckily I had been reading up on the BX23 and read a post about the 3pt kit being included with the tractors when they were sold, so I knew to ask the seller. Brand new still in the box!
As for working on removal of the BH when I don't need it off... that is a great idea. I'll definitely be doing that.
