Bx2230 Front Wheel Drive Assembly

This is a 05 BX2230 Front Wheel Drive shaft. It has sprung a leak from this area but also appear to be missing something. Any ideas on fix or what is missing. Tried looking at part diagram but online it’s hard.

Here is the picture of the front prop shaft drive and the parts list.

Looks like #40 is the seal. Part # 09500-20428
