have a 2004 bx2230, seem to have a problem with the 3point hitch and troubles with the belly mower. cant not lift anything on the 3 point and cant lift the belly mower. it only lifts and 1/4 each time i try to left either one, it acts like something is binding, it kicks the lever back. but when it kicks the lever back u can try to lift again and it goes another 1/4 way up, then binds again, keep trying it will go all the way up, anybody have any suggestions, the fluid is clean and full.

Is the guide rod that is connected to the 3pt control in a bind or bent? If it can't slide freely thru the guide hole in the control it will kick it back to the hold position just like it is at it's set limit point. Maybe a simple adjustment or a shot of spray lube will help you if it is binding. It will only take a small amount of drag to cause it to kick the control back to the hold position. This is about the easiest place to start looking.
Check your feedback rod, it is the little rod attached to the 3 point arm. With the 3 point all the way up, you should be able to grab the arms and pick them up about an inch. When you let them go, they should drop back down. (This is about an inch of freeplay in other words.) If that is ok, check the linkage. There is a rod on the righthand side attached to the 3 pint that runs behind the wheel, and up to the pivot rod. There should be 2 nuts on the end attached to the 3 point, and the other end is what moves the deck up and down. Set the height adjustment on the lowest setting for deck height. If you put it all the way down, you should be able to grab the mower deck linkage and move it up and down very easily.
