Good Afternoon Forum
I have followed several threads regarding this issue on the forum and am ready to repair the cylinder. I have read from the forums that it appears most likely to be from the cylinder seals. I have talked to a hydraulic shop regarding rebuild and they advised to bring it in and pickup a rebuild kit from Kubota. They feel there is no second guesses on the seals, ring, ect. The questions I have are there other places to get the seal kits since Kubota wants $35.00 for the kit, and removing the cylinder from the front of the tractor.
I am sure it is metric bolts and nuts. What sizes of sockets, will I need and looking at the tie rod end which appears to have a castle nut. Will removing the cotter key and just a socket remove the end nut or will I need some way to hold the top of the threaded end? Do they make replacement rubber boots for the tie rods or will I need to replace the entire end link?
Thanks in advance for all the good info.
