BX2200 3 pt hitch issue

Hi all,
I'm fairly new to the forum, I bought a used bx2200 this summer. Before I bought it I gave it a pretty good go through and everything seemed to work. I now cannot get the 3pt hitch to go down. I start it up and it goes up, stops at any point going up but I cannot get it down. (I have weight on it) I have fooled with the knob by the seat. I know it worked when I bought it.
I did take the MMM off but I thought it worked after that too but maybe not.
What am I missing?

Hi Dave, and welcome. The first thing with that knob is making sure when you turn it, it turns the shaft, and not just the plastic knob on top. It is notorious for cracking and then just spinning on the shaft. Remove the knob and turn with a pair of vice grips, or the like. See if that helps first. If not, we will figure it out step by step.
