BX22 what's it worth

I'm thinking of buying a BX22 from a friend who has not set a price. I don't want to overpay, but I don't want to cheat him. It's a 2002 BX22 with a back hoe and front loader. 450 hours What's it worth? Original purchase price was around 16k.

I would say something around 8.5K or so, maybe a tad more....depending on shape.
Hours are good - I hope all the maintenance is up to date?
That machine is 4 generations back, and or 16 years.

I’m not sure how the BX22 compares to the BX24 I sold in July but mine had turf tires, chains, mid mower w/bagger, and the loader and hoe and sold for 13500 within a week. It only had 700 hours and was a 2006 model with all maintenance records and manuals.

Recently traded my BX23 (2006) TLB with 60" MMM for $10K. It had way more hours on it than what you're looking at.

One thing you can do is look on equipment trader for comps....

Bought my BX23 with 54" MMM three years ago used for $12700 delivered. It had 610 hours on it and was in good shape. I thought it was a pretty decent deal at the time as I was seeing others advertised for a good bit more.

I watch Craigslist almost daily as I've been looking to upgrade to a B series. Based on the prices I've been seeing, I'm hoping when the time comes I can get back out of it what I paid if not a hair more.

I'm also in SW PA.
