bx22 rear axle seal

Is there a way to replace the rear axle seal on my 2003 BX22 without dismantling the transmission?

Actually, you drain the hydraulic fluid, jack up the side you are replacing the seal on, remove the wheel/tire assembly, remove the seal, (#50) in the picture above. Remove the snap ring (#40), pull the axle out of the housing.
Remove the other snap ring and bearing from the axle shaft, R & R the seal. Now that "you have taken it from together, you can put it back from apart". Add hydraulic fluid, go play.
