2019 BX1880... it's been a very reliable/useful tractor in maintaining our property. However, lately I've noticed a "metallic sounding noise... tick coming from the front end... front axle area when the tractor is moving forward. It is most notable when the front loader is attached and I hauling firewood. The "ticking or clicking" is not constant. As you can tell by this post, I'm not a mechanic. Any thoughts would be helpful... I'd rather head this issue "off at the pass" before the tractor is dead in the meadow.

As you are not a mechanic you probably dont realize how nebulous this question is. You could be describing anything from a stick caught in the under carriage to a failing front axle bevel gear and a whole host of things in between

Hey Dan,
Yes, it was nebulous and will try and clarify, from a non-mechanic understanding of the machine. I've checked the fluid levels, all are good. The Ty-rods appear to be ok... they are not loose and the boots are still intact and there are no sticks caught in the undercarriage. I'm in the driver seat with the engine running so all I can go on is the sound I hear. The sound is only noticeable when the front loader is attached and I moving a load of firewood or any other heavy object. what I am sure of is that the "clicking" is coming from the front axle area and that the noise is not constant, only when I'm turning or moving forward. The hydraulics of the loader is not affected as the loader lifts and lowers without any issues.
How would someone, a non-mechanic, know it's the bevel gear?

First I am nor suggesting its anything let alone ths bevel gear. I an suggesting you obtain help from an experienced mechanic.

Humm, good question... never thought about that. Because of our "hilly terrane" I'm almost always in 4wd.

Check all your lug nuts for tightness on the tractor. Look at the wheels to see if the steel is cracked at any of the lug holes. Are wheels anywhere else?
