I have been fighting trying to lower the ROPS on my tractor. I took out the pins, but it will not fold. The main nuts and bolts are loose. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thank you

Not being stupid - it only folds backwards, and sometimes after the bolt/nuts are loosened, it still needs a little ummmff to make it bend back the first time! 
Bolt is in the wrong spot. I had same issue and made dealer fix it since they couldn't install it right

I don't have time to run back to the dealer. I imagine I just need to switch the bolt around with where the pin was, or do you have a pic of yours?

I looked in my pics on my phone and don't have any but from memory the bolt goes directly behind where it is in the picture. I will try to remember to take a picture tomorrow night
Yes, Edward is on the money. One of my rookies got me on that on one my customer. Make the dealer correct the issue. Or shift the bolts to the rear hole!

Personally, I would not make the dealer fix it, since it is such a simple fix.
However, I might give them a call and let them know about the problem, so it can be correct on future ROPS that are assembled by some rookie shop helper.
Experience has taught me to be more prudent in picking my battles.
Why pi$$ off the dealer for such a small problem, when they might be needed to fight for you later on, for a much bigger and way more expensive battle, against the manufacturer ?

Bolts and pins are in the wrong place. Same thing happened to me. Fixed it myself, but I let the dealer know about it.
