I'm plugging away at 400 hr maintenance items on my BX2680. I purchased it used at about 200 hrs so this is my 1st HST fluid change. I've read the manual and watched a few YT videos.

What is the deal with whether to have the loader attached? I usually remove the loader for most service. I've seen some video comments on having the loader on collapsing the three cylinders (as well lowering the 3 pt) to allow for draining the most fluid.

Should I keep the loader on the tractor for the fluid change or maybe it doesn't matter that much?

I wouldn't attach much importance to whether the loader is on or off. You're only looking at the difference in volume of the oil from one side of the piston to the other. The lines are going to be full either way.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking
