Ok - rather than give a little help - I need it....

Cleaned the ol girl off today, and powerwashed all the grease and dirt off too.

Regreased all the zerks and then said - let me take a look see under the ol girl and check out any sticks that might have taken up shop in the under armor.

Found no sticks - but what I did find - the #$%#$%@ rubber boot that is coming off the main driveshaft looks worse than the tie-rod boots ever did!!!

I got a bad feeling that the whole #$@%@#$#@ shaft needs to be pulled? Much like the lovely fan when broken?????

Someone in their infinite wisdom tell me that a split boot would work here? AND if so - what are the 2 ID's of said boot? Hub end and the shaft end?

I am amazed that the rubber parts are failing so fast!!! Seems like every "boot" is rotten!

Any help would be appreciated:)

You want me to lie to you... Nope not my style... Yea your looking at a little work to change them, I don't think a split boot is a viable option. :(

Something i have noticed lately, rubber components failing really early. An example is the air intake tube on a 6 year old car. Yet i have seen 20 plus year old components in great shape.

Good luck with repair.
