Both of my front axle seals are leaking. How hard is it to change them? I do a lot of work on vehicles but the gear reduction in the hubs has me a little worried.

Hi bfoster129, welcome!
It is very easy to change the wheel seals on your tractor. first of all remove the wheels and then drain the hubs (it will drain the whole axle so have appropriate container) remove the ring of bolts you see there ( I think there are 5 on a BX1800) then pry off the hub cover complete with the wheel flange. once It is off there is a snap ring holding the gear on, remove it and tap the wheel flange/ shaft out of the cover, seal is right there! Takes me about 10 minutes per side, your time will vary! LOL>

I had one of my tractors start leaking on a rear axle seal. Turned out is was play in the bearings. They were beyond adjustment and had to be replaced. Just food for thought.
