I have a LB402 loader, it's 59" wide. The bucket has seen better days and needs replacement. I bought another newer model that is a 5 footer as well but that does not fit. The issue is the mount points on the backside of the loader is narrower on the newer one compared to the original. Why Kubota changed this is beyond me.

I have been searching for one with the correct mount width, but coming up empty. Do QA standardize these? Will a QA allow me to use the newer bucket?

I am open to suggestions here.

There may be some loaders that accept multiple pin on buckets, but I always thought the buckets were loader model specific.
Adapting your pin on to a ssqa plate will allow the use of all ssqa attachments (except older John Deere, Euro, and maybe BX specific attachments). If your new bucket is a pin on, then you’re out of luck.
The L2501 should be easy to get a pin on bucket for, but if you can sell the new bucket that doesn’t fit now may be a good time to get the ssqa plate and a new ssqa bucket. Hope that makes sense...
BTW, I really like the ssqa loaders, and highly recommend getting yours set up that way!

Yep SSQA is the only way to go, everything is standardized, just keep an eye on any SSQA bucket or implement you buy as to the weight of it. ;)

Greetings, can you cut the ears off the old bucket and weld a ssqa plate on it and move the ears tractor plate to make it fit his tractor?

Thanks for the information. I was not aware loaders are model specific, I thought 5 foots were the same, all 6 foots were the same, etc.

I have thought about moving the ears, I may still if I cannot find a QA. I guess I will start searching to see if someone makes one for my L2500.

The LB402 was an odd duck loader, only used on 2 models.
They don't look like they offer a SSQA adapter that fits it directly, but you could get one that fits another loader and have it altered to fit.
Or they do offer a generic model that can be fitted to any tractor.
Or do what I did and make your own, if you can weld it's not that hard to do. ;)
