Hello out there,

I am new in this forum and i hope i can reach out to a lot of experience that is concentrated in this forum.

I recently bought a B6200D with some real 500h on tachometer. The tractor is in outstanding good overall condition and i am (was) very happy about that.
After buying it, i found that the righthand brakeshaft (or Shaft diff gear RH)was broken. Disassembling the tractor, i also found a defect Differential and an almost broken brakeshaft on the left side.

I got spareparts and i can repair the tractor.

My question is rather: do brakeshafts on these type of tractors brake more often? I found several threads in here, where this is mentioned (B7100 series- one person said they bake as soon as he is breaking too harshly...)

I live in the mountains and have steep slopes, my boys also will drive- i cant risk disfunctonal breaks!

I hope there is someone out there, that has solved a similar problem.

Thanks a lot, br

The pins which hold the brakeshoes were quite bent. I wounder if it is possible, that the brakeshoes got caught due to selfreinforcing effect - bent the pins - got reinforced even more and sheared off the shaft? Maybe i will stiffen up the brakeshoeholder with sheet metal.
