Box or Grading Scraper?

More like a SUV vs a pickup. They are completely different tools. There isn't anyone who can finish a gravel road with a box blade as fast as a grader/scraper, and a grader/scraper can't move as much dirt as fast as a box blade.

Similarly, I can haul lumber on my SUV luggage rack, but the pickup bed is easier. I can also haul several people in my pickup, but the SUV does it better.

I like your analogy.

I have a Box Blade and wish I had bought a Land Plane.

However, I am quite sure that if I had bought a Land Plane, I would be kicking myself for not getting the Box Blade.

Kind of a "Damned if you do, and damned if you don't" thing I suppose.

Similar feelings. Box blade was a lightly used one sitting at the dealers lot when I purchased the BX. Half the price of the land pride 0548. So it was add the box blade to the order. No used land planes. Hind sight. The price of 0548 jumped from $1420 to $1590. Maybe I should have purchased both?
